The best way to describe the release of our debut album ‘NEW WORLD ORDER’ is pure satisfaction. As a musician we all go through life with the dream of finding a band that you can call home or consider your family and with Velvet City this is exactly what we have!! Whilst there are five of us in the band there are three of us who are the heart, body and soul of Velvet City – Craig Heath, Kristian Vidakovic and myself JC. The three of us have been and continue putting in all the hard work and extra hours behind the scenes; we cannot wait to unleash the fury that is Velvet City! All three of us bring something unique and different to the table, we fit together like three missing pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. I personally have worked extremely hard on my own playing over the years and am very excited about the opportunity that Velvet City gives me to show case my drumming and creativeness on the big stage. With the upcoming release of ‘NEW WORLD ORDER’ touring this album all over the world and allowing our fans to embark on the journey with us is just what the doctor ordered…………….Velvet City being the medicine of course!!!!

In anticipation to the release of the brand new album ‘NEW WORLD ORDER, I personally couldn’t be more excited and proud of how the record has come out. Working with US producer Brandon Mashburn over xmas while the rest of the world celebrated, we both knuckled down and put in some long and hard hours, blood sweat and tears, days, weeks were spent writing and recording, tracking everything in two different time zones across two different countries. I would get up in the morning and the tracks we had written were tracked and ready for me to sing the next morning and were sent back the same day, vocals comped complete with some post production then the mixing was all done very quickly. It was the most enjoyable process I have ever done and that is evident on the record. Vocally i trained my voice like a bodybuilder training for Mr Olympia and making sure when it came to recording it was in the best and strongest condition it could possibly be so that when I wanted the hard grit to come out it was all there connected with a deep emotion attached to it. I can not wait to hear the reaction from this record we are all siked about its hard edge and polished production from the US, it really does say we have got our shit together.
